Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and run our practice:
- Information you give us directly. When you contact us by email, by phone, through our website contact form, or by booking a call through our scheduling link, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company, and the contents of your message.
- Scheduling data. When you book a discovery call, our scheduling provider (Calendly) processes your name, email, and chosen time on our behalf.
- Website usage data. Our website uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to measure page views and performance. This does not identify you personally and sets no tracking cookies.
- Professional and social media data. Where you interact with us on professional platforms such as LinkedIn, we may see and retain the information those platforms make available to us, such as your name, profile, and any message or engagement you direct to us.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide the advisory services you request.
- To schedule and conduct meetings and calls.
- To manage our client and prospect relationships and our correspondence with you.
- To operate, secure, and improve our website.
- To send relevant business communications where you have asked to hear from us or where we have a legitimate interest in contacting you in a professional capacity.
- To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Our lawful bases under the GDPR are your consent, the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and growing a professional services practice, and compliance with legal obligations.
Cookies & Analytics
Our website is built to be light on tracking. We use cookieless, aggregate analytics to understand how the site performs. We do not place advertising cookies and we do not build advertising profiles about you. Any third-party platform you reach through links on our site (for example a scheduling page or a social network) is governed by that platform's own cookie and privacy practices.
Social Media & Third-Party Platforms
We maintain a presence on professional platforms, including LinkedIn, and we use those platforms' official tools and approved interfaces to publish content and manage our pages. When we do, we act in accordance with each platform's terms and use the data they provide solely to operate our own accounts and respond to people who engage with us. We do not scrape these platforms, and we do not collect data about you from them beyond what the platform makes available to us through its sanctioned tools. Your use of any third-party platform remains subject to that platform's own privacy policy.
Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run our practice:
- Service providers (processors) who operate on our behalf, such as our email, website hosting, analytics, and scheduling providers, under terms that require them to protect your data.
- Professional advisors in our network (for example legal, IP, tax, or technical specialists) where an engagement requires it and with appropriate confidentiality in place.
- Authorities or third parties where we are required to do so by law, or to protect our rights.
International Transfers
We are a transatlantic practice, and some of our providers and advisors are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent recognized mechanism.
How Long We Keep It
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes described above, or as long as the law requires (for example, tax and accounting records). When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- Access, request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification, ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure, request that we delete your personal data.
- Restriction, ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Portability, receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Object, object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
- Withdraw consent, where our processing relies on your consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at Chris@memorablegreen.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Portugal this is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
